By Car
From the Skye bridge, take the
A87 as far as Uig (52 miles). At the road junction
in the centre of Uig, turn right onto the A855,
signposted Kilmuir. Follow this road for 3 miles
and you will see our house on the right, with the sign
as in the picture above.
If you are coming off the Western Isles Ferry at Uig,
follow the traffic off the ferry along the A87
(signposted Portree) for about 3/4 mile,then turn left
onto the A855 and continue as above.

Public Transport
Citylink buses run from Glasgow, Inverness, Fort
William, Kyle, with connections from all parts of
Scotland. See their online
timetables.
These will get you as far as Uig. We will collect
you from Uig if you let us know in advance when you are
arriving.
Rapsons buses run a local service around the
Trotternish peninsula in both directions, starting and
finishing in Portree. These buses go right past our
door. They
also runs connections from Kyle to Portree.
The nearest train stations are Kyle of
Lochalsh and Mallaig.
Visit the
Scotrail site for timetables. From Kyle you can get
a Citylink or Highland bus, changing at Portree or Uig.
From Mallaig you can get the ferry to Armadale and then
a Skyeways or Highland bus to Portree. Contact Portree
Tourist Office (01478-612137) for latest information.
If you are coming off the Western Isles ferry at Uig
and do not have transport, we will collect you from the
ferry terminal if we know in advance what sailing you
